Filter Optix Glasses

Filter Optix blue light glasses are designed to help manage exposure to artificial blue light from screens, LED lighting, and digital devices.

We offer four lens colours for different routines:

Clear lenses
Designed for everyday screen use and daytime work. They provide subtle blue light filtering while maintaining natural colour perception.

Yellow lenses
Designed for extended screen use, focus, and enhanced contrast. They filter more blue light than clear lenses while maintaining good visibility.

Orange lenses
Designed for evening use after sunset. They block blue light to help you wind down while maintaining better visibility than red lenses.

Red lenses
Designed for late evening, before sleep, and nighttime routines. They provide the strongest level of blue and green light blocking for maximum sleep support.

All Filter Optix glasses are available in non-prescription, prescription, and readers.

Yes. All Filter Optix lenses include an advanced multilayer coating designed for clarity, durability, and everyday comfort.

Coating features include:

  • Blue light filtering
  • Anti-reflective coating to help reduce glare and reflections
  • Anti-static coating to help repel dust and small particles
  • Hydrophobic coating to help repel moisture
  • Oleophobic coating to help resist grease, smudges, and fingerprints
  • Scratch-resistant coating to help protect against everyday wear

Different lens colours are designed for different times of day and different levels of light filtering.

Clear and Yellow lenses are best for daytime screen use, work, study, and visual comfort. Clear lenses provide subtle filtering with minimal colour distortion, while Yellow lenses offer stronger filtering and enhanced contrast.

Orange and Red lenses are best for evening use and sleep support. Orange lenses are ideal for winding down after sunset while keeping good visibility. Red lenses provide maximum light reduction before sleep.

This makes it easier to choose the right glasses for your routine.

Choose based on when and how you plan to use your glasses:

Clear
Best for everyday screen use, work, and study when you want minimal colour distortion.

Yellow
Best for extended screen use, eye strain, focus, and enhanced contrast during the day.

Orange
Best for evening screen use, socialising, winding down, and reducing blue light exposure after sunset.

Red
Best for maximum light reduction before sleep and nighttime routines.

Still unsure? See our Lens Colour Guide or contact us at support@filteroptix.com and we will help you choose.

Clear lenses
Use during daytime screen work, office work, study, and long hours on computers or digital devices.

Yellow lenses
Use during daytime and extended screen sessions when you want stronger filtering, better contrast, and improved visual comfort.

Orange lenses
Use after sunset, during evening routines, or before bed when you want to reduce blue light exposure while maintaining good visibility.

Red lenses
Use late evening, before sleep, and during nighttime routines when you want maximum light reduction.

Filter Optix glasses are primarily designed for filtering artificial light from screens, LED lighting, and modern indoor light sources.

We generally do not recommend using blue light filtering glasses outdoors during the day, because natural blue light from the sun is important for alertness and the body’s sleep-wake rhythm. Occasional outdoor use is generally fine, but for daytime outdoor use, natural sunlight is usually beneficial.

After dark, Orange and Red lenses can be useful outdoors when you want to reduce exposure to artificial light from streetlights, cars, shops, and screens.

Some people may have specific light sensitivity or health-related reasons for using light-filtering glasses outdoors during the day. In those cases, we recommend speaking with a qualified healthcare professional.

Clear and Yellow lenses may be suitable for daytime driving, depending on the conditions. They can help reduce glare and improve visual comfort while maintaining good visibility.

We do not recommend using Orange or Red lenses while driving, especially in low-light conditions. These lenses filter blue and green light and can significantly change colour perception and make the surroundings appear darker. This may affect visibility, traffic signals, and overall driving safety.

If you drive at night and want some support against glare or artificial light, Yellow lenses may be a better option. Always prioritise safe vision and follow local driving regulations.

Filter Optix frames are designed for adults, and we do not currently offer frames made specifically for children.

Depending on age, face shape, and head size, some of our frames may fit older children or teenagers. We recommend checking the frame measurements on each product page and comparing them with a pair of glasses that already fits well.

If you are unsure, contact us at support@filteroptix.com, and we can help you choose the most suitable frame size.

Prescription, Readers & Fit

Yes. We offer prescription blue light glasses in all lens colours and frame models.

You can choose between:

  • Non-prescription
  • Prescription
  • Readers
  • Single vision prescription lenses
  • Progressive prescription lenses

If your prescription is outside the available range, contact us at support@filteroptix.com before ordering.

When selecting Prescription on a product page, a prescription form will appear. You can enter your prescription details directly or send your prescription to us after ordering.

For prescription lenses, you will need your SPH, CYL, AXIS, and PD values where applicable. If any values are missing from your prescription, contact us and we will help you.

We offer three lens material options:

CR-39
Standard lens material with excellent optical clarity. Best for lower prescriptions.

1.60 high-index
A thinner and lighter lens material, often recommended for moderate/stronger prescriptions.

1.67 high-index
Our thinnest lens option, often recommended for stronger prescriptions.

As a general guide, we recommend 1.60 index for SPH values stronger than approximately +/-2.00. You are also free to choose CR-39 if you prefer.

The best way to check fit is to compare the measurements of your current glasses with the measurements listed on each Filter Optix product page.

Frame measurements:

Acero
47-23-145, small/medium fit

Cedar
51-19-145, medium fit

Mesi
49-21-145, medium fit

Sage
50-19-145, medium fit

Ventus
49-21-145, medium fit

Yama
52-21-145, medium/wide fit

Most of our frames are designed to fit a wide range of face shapes. If the fit is not perfect, an optician can usually make small adjustments to the frame.

Small adjustments are normal with eyewear. We recommend taking your glasses to a local optician or optical shop. They can usually adjust the frame for a better fit.

If the glasses still do not work for you, we offer a 30-day return policy from the day you receive your order. Please see our Returns & Warranties policy for details.

Each pair includes a cleaning cloth. For best results:

  1. Rinse your glasses with lukewarm water to remove dust and particles.
  2. Apply a small amount of mild, lotion-free soap if needed.
  3. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Dry gently with a clean microfibre cloth.

Avoid hot water, alcohol-based cleaners, household cleaning products, and chemical solvents. Also avoid leaving your glasses in extreme heat, such as saunas or direct sunlight for long periods.
